The coyotes have started their mating season rituals, the next four to six weeks will be a potentially dangerous time period for your pets. Never leave your pets (especially small dogs) unattended in your yard, even if you have a fenced yard. If you take your pet for a walk, make sure they are on a leash so you have instant control of your pet should a coyote approach. Coyotes can be very aggressive at this time of year, so it is better to be safe than sorry especially in areas where coyotes are observed regularly.
